Over boost, now runs crappy, Rebuild?

I over boosted at WOT for a few seconds. Now harder to start, idle like ****. Still has good poower under boost but not as good as before. Pops and snaps under light load on the freeway. EGT tepms up too.

Did I blow an apex seal? Time for a rebuild?

Haltech Sprint RE, GT35R direct to a 10lbs spring. Creeped over 20. 38mm wastegate. May need a bigger one or a pair of WG's. 1000cc/2000cc combo.

When in doubt...compression test. Sounds like you may have chipped a seal.

Blew off a vacuum cap or hose maybe?

if it was on straight pump gas then it likely chipped a seal from detonation. start by checking all the vacuum hoses first to make sure something didn't pop off, second check compression of the engine and third figure out what caused it to overboost and fix it. 38mm single WG is too small for most setups.
