Haltech one more e6x question...
that sounds like the setup for an fc with the crank sensor stabbed the old hitman method.

odd--it fired right up and i zero'd the timing yesterday morning. i shut it off and got something to eat and when i came back out, the ecu had reset itself--EVERYTHING....i've never seen a haltech do that before.

We theorize that it's due to comm cable and transfer drop-out errors that cause the corrupted upload.
Try changing the serial cable or make sure the cable isn't tight or moving during an upload.
It's good advice to always double-check your maps on every upload.

p.s. it "decided" to start working. i'd been ****** around in windows mode for most of the time and i loaded it up in dos again and it seems like it's all good now. there's nothing i hate more than when a problem "fixes" itself because there's no way to know if it will come back. i like knowing exactly what's wrong and exactly what it takes to fix it. no mysteries...
on a positive note, car pulls good @ 12 psi and i'll be working on the drivability/fuel economy tuning today-as well as the boost transition areas. if i can talk my dad into making a visit with his welder, we'll get the egt in and then take a trip to the dyno for the high boost tuning.

how do you put your cas in that differs from hitmans??

my bad..i was thinking we were talking about fc's here. I just re read and noticed the big FD!!
shouldnt be a huge differance i wouldnt think. the only thing fc in my project is the actual engine and intake manifolds.....the rest is all custom goodies.
