ok i searched and found a bunch of people with xp machines trying to use a usb port to connect....


well this is different. this laptop has win98 so i should be able to run the haltech software right off the desktop. BUT.... tghis laptop has no serial port.... so... can i use a usb to serial adapter?

i figured id ask before i spent that much on a cable i might not need...
