oh yea... tach with aftermarket coils.

i SWEAR i've done this once before but i can't, for the life of me, remember how in the hell i did it...

do i wanna use the green ignition wire, or a pwm?
and where the hell does the wire go? i totally can't remember!! and the schematic shows the tach going into the cpu, but i can't find out where (or even IF) it shows where the cpu gets the signal.

please help in my moment of boobness.

muchas gracias!

yea, but which wire in the car?

i tried what i did on another car, but that had stock coils and ignitors. the schematics are definately ehhh.... let's just say not as organised as the ones for today's cars.

so i can't find out (maybe it's not in there, maybe i'm just too dumb to find it) exactly which wire in the car goes right into the tach, and i'll wire it up that way.

got it!!

just in case anyone else runs into this problem, it's the yellow wire with blue stripe on the #2 ecu connector (the one with less pins).

the reason it didn't work before is because i had my pwm set at 1... i set it at 2 and got half rpm's....AHHHHHHHHHH...set it to 4 and we're good to roll!

houston, we have tachage.
