need laptop recomendations

what all is everybody using for laptops? a friend of mine came over and i tried to hook it up but i could not get it to work i have no idea how this virtual pc works so any help from you guys i would greatly appreciate it.

Just find a nice Dell D600 on ebay, preferably a centrino one, and make sure its got the serial port, you wont have any problems.

Mine's an old dinosaur...Compaq Armada m700. I had to get an external 320gb HDD for a decent amount of storage space.

If yours won't start and you don't know anything about computers you're better off taking it in to a service shop and have them set it up for you. It would get too complicated to try to guess what was wrong, covering everything from painfully obvious (have you switched it on - with all that that entails) to complex issues with the BIOS or setting up your Internet connection.
