Need info/advice
Greetings,
I have a 1500.00 budget to purchase an aftermarket EMS for my 84SE. As I read through all the EMS forums, it seems that Haltech is popular and has much support. My SE's engine is stock with an S5 intake. I do plan on street-porting and turbocharging in the future. Since there is hardly any 1st gen owners using Haltechs (for street purposes), I found it difficult to get the answers I was looking for. So, I do have a few questions:
1. The last time I searched, Haltech did not make a plug-n-play harness for the 1st gen. What is involved in modifying an S4/S5 harness to work with mine?
2. To be able to fully convert, what all do I need-----harnesses, sensors, etc? I definitely want to ditch the distributor and AFM. Has anyone here installed a Haltech on an SE?

2. lots of people have done it. you need to replace the harness, and add the CAS, coils, map sensor, etc etc
i'd suggest reading the haltech manual, it does actually explain a lot of this
