more idle porblems

Whats wrong with my car? Im getting sick and tired of this ****. I havent had a decent idle for months. Today before i left to go to work I thought it would be a good time to play around with the idle while I had some spare time. The car would not idle above 1k rpms, it would get so low that it would try to die on me sometimes. Today I re-calibrated the throttle and the car seem to idle fine 1260 steady for 10 mins, the fans would kick on and the rpms would drop 100 or so and pick back up, did this all the way to work, I was a happy camper. Well leaving work the **** did the same thing it did before. I thought I would go back to the calibrate throttle page and showed the throttle position being 12% , wide open 88%. Why will it not go back to 0 or 100% like it did before? The engine data page shows 0 and 100%. Does anyone have any suggestions on this. I dont understand why it would do this and quit. help

if the sensor is solidly mounted and doesn't flex when the throttle is moved then I would suspect a bad TPS. I would check all connections also. I have this problem on occasion but the idle is not affected. I am also not to particular as long as it runs at idle. mine is not a street car.

I played with the fuel map at idle and bumped the fuel up a little. Agian she is idling like a champ. I noticed right where it lumping in rpms the bars were low. Im going to wait a few hours and see how that works. I really think that was the problem, because as soon as I started to bump it up some ,I could feel the idle come back to normal. If this is solved then im going to try and see if I can tweak the cold start problem, its getting worst sence the temp is droping outside.

If you do not have enough fuel and too much ignition at idle it will stall , especially wit the extra load of fans , lights A/C etc. You can also look into adjusting the dashpot on the throttle assembly.
