"Hello Everyone, as has been discussed on this forum previously contained in this thread is a BETA version of Halwin 1.82. Haltech stresses that this software is only a BETA version and not (at this point in time) a full software release.
Please use this software with the mindset that it is a beta software and may have small bugs, Haltech has eliminated as many of these bugs as we are aware of however im sure with feedback from our customers we will be able to reduce the number of software bugs greatly.

There are a number of new features in the 1.82 software and you are encouraged to read and leave comment on the supporting documentation that can also be downloaded from the link below.

Please be aware that this software requires a firmware update, the firmware update procedure is similar to all previous firmware update procedures and is as follows:

Download the Halwin 1.81 software file and the suitable firmware file for your ECU from the link below.

Step 1 - Go online with existing (1.71 or earlier) halwin software and save your current map to your desktop - dont forget this step - if you do you will likely lose all maps currently stored in your ECU.
Step 2 - Go to the options menu and select firmware update
Step 3 - Select the firmware .bin file by pressing the ... button and update the firmware - do not disconnect the ECU or laptop during this procedure, it should take between 20 secs and 3 mins depending on the speed of your computer.
Step 4 - Once firmware update is complete shutdown your existing version of Halwin and go online with the new Halwin 1.82BETA software
Step 5 - Go to File - Load File - and load the map called "default.map" if you have an E11v2 or "default_E8.map if you have an E8, once the default map has completed loading into the ECU, Reset the ECU by turning the key off and back on again.
Step 6 - Once you have loaded the default map from Halwin 1.82 go to File - Load File - and select the map file you saved in step 1
Step 7 - Reset the ECU by turning the key off and back on again and the firmware update is complete you are ready to start using the Halwin 1.82BETA software.
