Installing an old E6

I've searched and have come up with very little info about the old E6 version. I know a few people on here have straight up said dont use it, but this was wired up in FC and ran a turbo car in the past. So it does work....dont tell me it doesn't.

Anyways I'm getting stuck on some of the wiring, mostly everything is already wired from the FC it came out of so jut about everything just plugs in. The CAS and coilpack wiring does not.
I've been told I need a pair of the MSD 8509's and I have to wire them in between the CAS and the wiring for the E6 to convert it to square wave so the ECU can understand the signal. I'm having trouble figuring out that wiring. How do I wire up the MSD's in between.
I've read this and Brian says how to wire them up, but I'm a little confused about it still. Can someone draw me a diagram? lol....I like pictures rather than words

Also if anyone else here has some kind of experiance with the old E6 could you let me know, I have a few more questions about some of the plug-ins on the harness...

Thanks

Well, from what i know about the E6, it could only do standard trigger, so this mean that you could only connect it to the 2 tooth reluctor on the FC CAS, using one of the MSD-8509 boxes, and you could pretty much only run it as it it was an old style distributor, which means firing the spark plugs fire both on each rotor at the same time, and not wasted spark.

Personally i would not run an E6 on a rotary, try at the very least an E6K, they are redly available for decent price. Or of you have the budget, get a new E6X or even an E8, which will greatly surpass the functionality of the E6 and give you far better results.

Besides, there is very little, if any, support for the E6, and you'll probably be hard pressed to find someone with experience with that particular ECU on a rotary.

Just go with some newer system that has been tried and true on a rotary, like the E6K, you''ll have less complications and plenty of base maps are available.

True, I understand what your saying.

Its not going into my car, its for a customer who bought the whole setup for $300. It also came with a modified CAS, the lower level of teeth have been ground off flat except for 4 spaced 90 degrees from each other.

I believe he said it came off an FC running 300+ hp, but now I cant reach the previous owner of it to ask him how he had it wired up in his car.
Do I only need the one MSD?

Yes, since it will only be able to read off that, and it will only fire the ignition alternatively, meaning, 2 plugs on one rotor, then the other 2 plugs on the other rotor.

So, it should be pretty simple. But im not sure if it can run stagging injection, but i think so.
I sent you an email to joe@rpmmotorsports.ca. Get back to me as soon as you get it.

OK, I got the MSD wired up and it seems to be alright except I dont have signal output to the coils.

I can spin the CAS by hand with the key on and the primary injectors click away, but no signal coming out of the ignition output. Could anyone enlighten me as to why?
