Im about to buy HALTECH

I found a deal on a used kit F9 haltech. What should i look for or check to make sure that the unit is in good shape.?

the ecu itself? i dont really think there is a way.

I am not aware of any way to check it other than actually using it.

Also, the F9 only controls fuel. This isn't really such a great thing on an RX-7, especially if you plan on turbocharging or supercharging the engine. I would recommend a full EMS like the E6, E8, or E11 series that will let you fine-control ignition timing.

does the haltech go "bad" often, or is it a very reliable device?

It is still posible to go fast and reliable without ignition control, but im sure you loose low or midrange power.

if it goes bad you just send it in to be repaired

how bad do you want it?
will it do what you need it to do?
does it work?
what condition is the harness in?
what else does it come with?


if your going to the trouble of an F9... why not go all the way and get a k, x or e8???
