how can i lower my idle?
i've tried a few things with my e6k to get my idle down to around 700 or so but it just doesnt happen. i dont have any kind of idle control and it just seems like the haltech wont let the base idle get below 1000. i am using a zero throttle map.. i've tried removing fuel (on the zero throttle map) retarding the ignition a couple degrees under vacuum, etc. and nothing works. if i get somewhat of an idle below 1000rpms, it gets rough.. any ideas?
i just want to get a hard idle betwwen 700-800 rpms...

that's not exactly a problem...
these motors run really rich at idle. 11's is a bit too rich, you're right, but play with your timing , then see if you can get it in the low 12's.
try locking your timing @ -5 and see if you can lean it out at all.

The timing is usually the main factor, but also the adjustment screw, but if you do have an air leak and have a rich mixture at idle you will have that high rev condition. Or maybe you just have to big a porting job?

Unless you have an extremely large port i.e. 1/2 bridge or larger, you shouldn't really need to use the zero throttle map. You should be able to control it with the regular map. The zero throttle map is used if you have large fluctuations in manifold pressure at idle. Richening it up at idle will also help reduce the idle speed.

You mean the BAC? the valve that is bolted to the intake manifold on the pass side that has a water hose runing through it? check out one of the HITman's FC haltech maps, he has a setting there for the PWM to control it.
