Help with timming on 3rd Gen for Haltech ASAP!!

I have a 3rd Gen with single Turbo (TS04) MSD egnition on the leading, 850cc prim. 1600 Sec. Street ported motor, Haltech computer, and set to boost about 20 PSI. Engine has Low compression rotors with 3mm apex seals. NOW here is what i need to know. im going to the dyno tommorow and need to see who can help me by telling me what the correct timming should be on IDLE, then into transition and Most important under full boost and load at top end. any feedback by tommorow morning will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks in advance

Rob

PS!! If there is anyone that is willing to Send me thier current curve for starters that would really help alot and save a fellow rx7 owner some money on the dyno time.

My e-mail is rob20rx7@bellsouth.net

here is where im at

About 10* at Idle
35* to 38* in vacume in the upper rpm's
in vacume at about 1 or 2 inhg about 28*
then going into boost 1 or 2lbs 25*-26*
then from 6 to 9lbs 21* to 24*
then from 9 to 14lbs 17* to 19*
then from 15 to 20lbs 16* to 12* maybe even 10* at full to be on the safe side.

what do u think of this?

You realize that you're asking just about the closest regarded secret in EMS tuning, right?

With all the rampant cheap wide-bands on the market now, getting a fuel map drawn out is pretty straight-forward.

Ignition timing maps are not.

I tune by EGT's so it's easier for me to figure out an ignition map.
You can also do this with a knock sensor system like a J&S.

With EGT's you shoot for a target temp and that's basically it.
Going too advance will raise EGT's.
Going too retarded will lower EGT's.
Going extremely retarded will raise EGT's.
Confused yet?

sence this kinda on the subject, when you refer to TDC, does that mean tdc @ the end of exhuast stroke or TDC@ the end of compression stroke? Also why does timing start high(35*-38*) in vacumn and retard slowly as engine starts making boost? I notice this on my timing map.

tdc is when the rotor face is flat up against the spark plugs, or the end of the compression stroke.

you wanna run a lot of timing at cruise, it helps with gas mileage/response. under boost you have to retard the timing a lot to keep it from detonating

So say you start with a base timing map, Do you advance the timing until there s breakup? Ok after that when does the split come in? Split is how many degrease( or is it Ms?) your leading fires before your trailing am I right? So if you were to run to much split what would happen?
Also, if you advance, your plugs fire early
if you retard, you plugs fire late.
I very new this and this part so if I mention anything wrong please dont flame me.
Thanks alot j9fd3s.
