Help with cold/hot idle
Hi,
So I've tried two times to bleed my cooling system and start getting the thing ready to street tune.
At first, the car fired right up and held a nice 1000-1100rpm idle with no throttle or BAC. A few weeks later I try and top up the coolant and start bleeding the air out, so I fire it up and let it idle until it warmed up. Once it hit 70*, it started shuttering and shaking while the idle dropped. It didn't want to start after that and kept dumping fuel out of the exhaust. Ryan Fritts gave me some pointers, which included installed the BAC and turning off the coolant temp. correction. I alsoadjusted the throttle body and after that, it fired up perfectly and idled just as it did a month ago. Once again, I wanted to let it idle and get to operating temperature, which it did so I turned off the car, noticed a leak, messed with that, and proceeded to start the car again. It started, but died about 10sec after. I messed with the BAC and timing and it idled great until I gave it any throttle, but once throttle was applied it would back fire tremendously loud a few times.
My AFR was reading around 13 at idle but shot to 19 before stalling out. I couldn't get it idling long enough to get a proper reading after that.
My setup is a FC3S 13b-REW, stock ports, stock injectors, stock non-seq turbos, and stock TII coils.
My guess is my maps arent currently calibrated for a BC climate. When it idled and rev'd nicely, it was 10-12 degrees outside, but when it started acting up, it was 4-6 out.
Any suggestions?

Fully warm, gave it enough to give it a quick rev, but it didnt get far, so my guess is Throttle Pump also. Any rough settings I should be using, or is it just trial and error?
Also, I emailed Haltech for them to ship some crimp pins but I didn't get a response. Were you able to get a hold of any for the E8?
Thanks!

You didn't get those yet? They were supposed to be shipped to you directly from Haltech. I'll let Dan know tomorrow and make sure they didn't forget. Sorry about that.
If this is similar to the Sept map you had I would suggest starting with adjusting the overall trim. If it requires a very higher percentage then go to the enrichment sensitivity map. When your running the car watch the throttle pump setting screen and watch what cells the car goes through when pulsing the throttle. Adjust them accordingly.
