halwin 1.62 idle stuff...
i got the idle stuff down pretty good on the 1.59 software, but they dun did gone and changed that **** for the 1.62.
anyone got any setup tips for the pid parameters? i've got it working pretty decent most of the time, but it doesn't seem to want to "catch" after you rev the motor up. it'll fall down and almost die....then decide to kick in.
this is on a cosmo, btw.
thanks

BTW. The cosmo/FD BAC valve is prone to failure a lot. I've seen them get stuck in the open position on both stock and aftermarket ecu's.
You should follow the BAC set up tips that come with V1.62 software. For once Haltech actualy describes how the idle system works and goes step by step in getting a good idle.
Try this----->
PC..........120
IC..........20
DC.........0
I would try and get a stable idle with the TB screw at first. Normaly about 100 rpm below what I need. Sometime especially with huge ports set idle with screw and just use the BAC to compensate for load, AC etc. and cold start that way you want get a lot of swings in the rpm by forcing the BAC to catch up a lot.
