Trying to tune a Mazda 1982 Series 2 RX7 with series 4 13b turbo motor. I have gotten the car to start and run well. what I notice is when the staging process of the secondary injectors come online, the car jerks (bounces between the staging mode value of 1.6psi and doesn't go any further). I have tried richening, leaning the columns around the staging point and the same problem appears. The car will not go past the staging point value of 1.6 psi. I have increased the staging value to 3 psi to 5 psi for testing and same problem appears. I have also setup both primary and secondary injectors being the same model and flow rate (1000cc) same issue arises, but then reverted back to primary's being 550cc and the same phenomenon appears. I have measured continuity and verified the wiring is correct for injectors.
OSID of the ECU is 1.13
i have attached the log file and tune file.
reviewing the logs, you can see each time the secondary injectors jerking in such range across the logs the last point I kept my foot down on the peddle and same issue keeps happening. injectors, oscillating when the staging point is set.
Setup as follows:
ECU: Haltech Platinum Sport 1000
Igniter: Haltech HPI4
Wide Band: Haltech addon wideband
turbo: T04z with external 45 mm gate
Primary High impedance s5 550cc injectors 195500-1370 injectors
Secondary High impedance 1000cc injectors
Bridgeport porting studded and doweled motor.
Surge tank with carter pump and Bosch 044 fuel pump
external fuel reg
9" diff with Detroit locker center.
rx5 5 speed gearbox (Will be changed to a turbo series 4 box shortly)
Is there anything else I can try? I played with common mode, primary hold, same results. Has anyone seen such problem?
Hi thanks for the reply 10sec, I tried drastic numbers for injector pulse within staging area with minimal and maximum but never had enough seat time to test further due to time constraints. I have been provided with assistance from another member who has suggested that the numbers are too high also.. so he has assisted greatly and a true gentleman. Need to load the tune and take for another test drive. If such values are all over the place what values you suggest 10secrx7?
