Haltech and MSD wiring!

A little while ago i picked up a Digital 6 Plus and a DIS-2 used on the forum for a deal I couldn't pass up. But now I'm having trouble figuring out how to wire it all up. The way i was told to set it up was by eliminating the ignitor and changing a few settings on the haltech to Constant Charge, 3.0ms, Rising for the output. I also picked up some aftermarket coils (4) coil blaster PN 8203. The first thing i want to do is setup the Digital 6 plus on the leading than run the DIS-2 on the trailing.

1. There is a thick black and red wire which of course are Power to battery and Ground.

2. Second there is a orange and black wire coming out of the same loom which is the the positive and ground for a coil. My questoin is do i need to just run a jumper from the first leading coil to the second leading coil?

3. Now the last loom i have from the Dig 6 is a white trigger wire im not sure where this one goes? The other one in that loom is red could this be a 12v switch?

Now the DIS-2 i have no clue how to hook up, if someone could give me a quick lesson I would really apreciate it! TIA

Marc

Yes, you wire them in "parallel" on the output of the Digital-6.
Before you do that, can you measure the impdence of those coils?
It could be possible the impedence is too low, and you could fry your Digital-6!

White is points / ground trigger / signal - from ECU / Haltech.
Red is +12V switched.

if it's anything like the DIS-4, you should have pairs of colored and brown / colored wires.  These are the inputs (colored) and outputs (brown / colored) for each channel.  Thick red and thick black are obvious.  There should be some misc. wires that control retard and rev limiter functions - you need to tape them up and secure them.

Good Luck getting it to work without ignitor.

i set up a 3rd gen with same ignition setup a couple of years ago and couldn't get it to work properly with stock ignitor. There was a misfire at about 6k that would not go away.

First off thank you Ted and enzo for the responce! The DIS-2 is almost the same but it has a couple of extra wires for the 2 extra channels. I did some more research and it seems its more a problem than its worth to wire it without the ignitor. Im going to look over the wiring diagram and try to firgure out how to wire it into the sideharrness, but if someone has already done it i would appreciate a hand! Thanks
