HALTECH installation help!

It is for 87TII. I want to do the rough installation myself. This means i want to place the ECU and put the harness thru the firewall. But where is the best place to install the ECU??..dash?? existing stock ECU location??etc etc. I need your help.

Yup, mine is in the same place. I used the flying lead harness and used the same hole in the firewall with the wire gormet off the old harness and wire loom.
Looks like a factory job.

OK thanx for the info. I will also put the ECU in the same place. Just curious because the previous owner had it in his dashboard (R100).

One more question though. How hard is it to safely remove the old wiring harness???...Do i gently pull it from inside or is it better from the engine bay???

I pulled it from the engine bay, there is less wire length that way.
