Haltech IC7 Direct Speed Input Results in Incorrect Mileage
Folks,
Wondering if anyone has tried to get the IC7 to work using the direct speed input from the FD trans VSS signal.
I am running a 2500 elite and an ic7. My car was previously rewired so most of the original harnesses have been removed and my wiring guy built direct feeds to the stock dash before I switched out to the ic7. (including the fuel level sender and twisted pair VSS signal).
Currently I have all speed, distance and mileage setting in the ic7 as mph/miles and have the speed working correctly with a 25mph pulse rate setting of 8250. However my mileage tracker trip meters and odometer are clocking at 5/8th of measured distance. (I assume the ic7 still thinks it’s reading the speed in km/h).
Anyone have any experience with this? Haltech support insists I have the wrong speed setting (pulse) but they have dialed in and found everything is set correctly.
I will be switching to ecu driven speed and mileage tracking eventually. But for now this has me stumped.
lmk if you have any ideas.
thanks.
