Haltech Base maps taken down
Gents, its my attention that even though people are appreciative of the fact that we have Haltech base maps here to be able to get an engine started, the reality is that these maps are actually now quite old and outdated. So, effective immediately i have taken them down. The good news is that contained within ECU Manager there are currently enough current and updated rotary base maps in there to be able to start the majority of applications. In the case of having something different than stock, a few minor tweaks and its all good. The main concerns are going to be ignition configuration, what coils you have and how to wire them up properly. The wiring side of it has not changed, so those are still available, all you have to do is configure the ignition setup according to what you have installed.
Granted, most of you will be upgrading injectors to bigger sizes, the best way to get your engine going with large injectors using those base maps will be to employ the "overall trim" table and feed in negative numbers to get the engine to at least start and idle. For example, if you have 1000cc primaries, put a value in of about -35 to -45%, that way the you dont put so much fuel in it and will at least be able to check the base timing properly.
After that is done you can get it professionally tuned and all will be well. I have to take the time to thank RX-7 Club for being around now for so long and for literally being THE best source for Haltech and rotary info on the planet! As well, of course, as letting us humble servants use it to provide help to those who need it!
So, thanks admins! Keep on rocking for another 10 years!
PS. What ever happened to the banner contest?!
