Haltech 2500 PNP No start

Hi... as the title state I am trying to get the Elite 2500 pnp working on my 96 FD.

Car is fine and running with the power FC and run even after putting it back on after failed attemp with the Haltech.

I should probadly check timing? I am just wondering how off would it be with the car running on PowerFC and not Haltech?

The car wants to start and did start for a split second... and then dies... If I give it some gas when starting.. it would rev up with the start and then dies..

Sorry for the newbie question... first time dealing with Haltech on a Rotary...

I'm not sure if this will help, but I just installed a Elite 2500 onto my 2000 FD, and with the latest software Haltech provides, my car would not start either, because it wasnt picking up the TPS.
reverted to the older software and that solved the issue.

something to think about maybe, re: software

Did you swap sensors like you were supposed to? You can side step it with the right calibration files. But as far as I'm aware, you'll at least need a wideband sensor for the haltech to read AFRs. I had personally swapped my MAP, IAT sensor, and O2 sensor before trying to run.

Also please verify all sensors are correct and viewable by the ECU before cranking the motor. Check for DTC codes, etc. The ECU is fairly smart, but won't save you if it can't see something.

have you uploaded the RX7 base map that comes on the ECU? if so you need to change some of the trigger settings to get it started.

also make sure all of your fuel injector data has been setup correctly.

also as stated above, ensure you are using the fast acting IAT sensor that comes with the ECU, the software is setup to use the internal MAP sensor. if you have a wideband o2 sensor make sure this is setup in the software too.

Well finally after all these time I got my car to run on proper base map S7-8 map instead of the S6. Weirdly... On the S6 ignition switch is turned off in the setting this is one difference I noticed so I went ahead and turn off ignition switch on the S7-8 map.. fires right up.
