Firmware Update
I have questions about firmware upgrading:
If my firmware is 1.62, can I upgrade directly to 1.82 or do I need to upgrade to 1.71 first?
Does the engine need to be running, I'm assuming not?
Does the key need to be turned-on, I'm assuming yes?
Anything tricky to do this?

Engine off, key on. It's best to disconnect the 34 pin connector while you're doing the update. The 26 pin needs to stay connected. Make sure to load the default base map after you do the update. After you do that, you can load another map or begin programming a new one. You can go from build 29 (1.62) directly to build 35 (1.89). IMO, stick with build 39 or 32. Build 35 was a basket of bugs.

Thanks for the info.
Just looked on the Haltech Download site and did not see Build 39. The last on that I could see was Build 35.
Where would I find Build 39?

Saw you are from Indiana and it struck a name that I thought I would share: " Herb Shriner"!
His theam song was "Back Home in Indiana" and he started each show with: "hlo"!
He WOULD HAVE driven an RX-7, but...
