FC Dual trailing coils with Elite 750

I had wired up two trailing coils to run sequential ignition with the E6K, ditching the leading waste spark. That ECU proved to be unresponsive, and Ive since acquired an Elite 750. Now Im reading that the Elite does not support these coils. Does the Elite lack the ability to emulate the 5v toggle altogether?

I am still new to configuring the Haltech software. I'll get different coils if I have to, of course. If there is a way ro modify these coils wifh an additional igniter I'd be interested to learn about it.

I've since found the Banzai Racing writeup for installing an additional ignitor to trailing coils.
FC Coil Installation How To

I might as well cannibalize one of my coil packs in order to make the other functional, and in the meantime I could run the original leading coils in wastespark. This will put me basically at the stock ignition setup. The other option is to run 4 IGN-1As with individual ignitors to achieve direct fire. If all else fails I will go this route. I am a fan of the FC coils as they seem to be very formidable especially in terms of spark duration.

If anyone has anything to add - any other methods, please share! I will update this thread as I progress in my build.

Have you attempted the banzai write up or did you ditch the FC coils? I just installed a elite 1500 and shortly after discovered it doesn稚 support the fc coils. I知 trying to run wastespark with the stock leading coil and I have a second igniter for my trailing coils but I知 not getting spark. If you致e gotten the stock coils to work with or without the banzai write up how did you wire them? I知 aware the 750 has 8ign and the 1500 has 4 so I知 assuming it値l be similar.

I've read the Banzai writeup and was going to do it that way, but ultimately went for 4 Haltech branded IGN1A smart coils, set up for direct fire. I still have my two trailing coils and will probably do the Banzai mod so they will be usable in the future. I've heard great things about the smart coils but the FC coils have a remarkably long duration, so I wonder which one is better suited.

Are you sure your wiring job was correct? Triple check everything you did and make sure there aren't any shorts. The way they have you sandwich the ignitors against each other provides little clearance for those old brittle wires inside. I would avoid soldering because the joints could crack when you put it back together. Crimp them together with an 18 gauge butt splice protected by some heat shrink tubing. You might as well build yourself another Banzai trailing coil. Use it for your leading ignition so that you can set them both up for direct fire. Or if you prefer the current setup you can at least have a backup trailing coil to diagnose with. Good luck.
