E8 installed and fuel pump not coming on

We installed the E8 on Friday and want to make sure i have connected to the correct wire on the fuel pump. There are 5 wires coming out of the pump. White/Red, Black, Blue, White/green, blue/black.

I have the Black grounded to the chasis and the White/Red connected to one of the orange (extended using yellow wire) fuel pump wires from the E8. The other orange is connected directly to the battery.

I have checked voltage before and after ignition and everything seems to be correct. I have constant voltage on one of the orange wires and have temporary voltage on the other orange when i turn the key to ign.

The problem is the pump isn't coming on...no priming sound when i turn the key. They pump is brand new and was working fine before i removed my PFC last week.

Am i connected to the correct wire?

You can see in the picture i have the E8 wire connected to the white/red and the black grounded to the chasis.

thanks...

Check the resistance with the ohm meter across the fuel pump , if there is no resistance (open) your pump is bad or might have loose connection. If this is the case I would remove the pump and check the connectors. Good luck. BTW white/red is the right wire for 12v supply.

Make sure you've wired to the correct side of the connector clip for the pump and that its plugged in. I did that wrong by accident a couple months ago and couldn't figure out for the life of me why it wouldn't prime the pump.

Also, check for voltage at the end of the orange flying lead when the key is on. Double check that the fuel pump relay (contains GREY, BLACK/YELLOW, and 2xORANGE leads) is clicking when ignition is on.

Fuel pump wiring on FC3S and FD3S:

Smaller gauge RED and BLUE are used for fuel level resistor. Ignore.
BLACK/WHITE is pump +ve on FC3S
WHITE/RED is pump +ve on FD3S
BLACK is pump ground

On the Platinum, the ORANGE/BLUE flying lead heads all the way back to the pump. That's fuel pump +ve. On the older series, one of the two solid ORANGE flying leads are it.

I recommend when wiring up the pump to cut the factory ground lead and run a 10-12AWG wire from that lead straight to chassis ground. The factory pump wiring sucks miserably.
