E8 to FD stock ign wiring

Just wanted to double check my wiring. I have the correct wires on the ign module. Just wanna make sure they are connected to the right ign outputs on the haltech itself.

Can anyone chime in?

IGN 1 is leading, IGN 2 is T1, IGN 3 is T2. Setting is wastespark. Is that all you need?

pretty much, thanks. well somewhat on the same topic (well if u cant answer ill prob just do another topic)

but haltech sent me a crank sensor diagram for the FD with ign settings. theyre generally different then the ones posted here

but more questioning why they say 24teeth offset 5. i know u have to lock the timing and adjust, but why so different then the suggested 65, 11 posted here

The 65 and 11 you see so often is for the FC CAS. The FD requires different settings.

10 4. well back to the orginal post.

why does my e8 seem to be using ign1, 3, and 4. from what ive been reading its suppose to be 1,2,3. i wired it up that way with ign 2 not firing.

now finding with the multimeter that its 1,3, and 4. seems to match what a psport1000 does. (diagram wise)

Eh, you're right. It's 1 for leading, 3 for T1, and 4 for T2.

e8s must be the grey area. haltech sent me a diagram for wiring the ignitor and they also had it as ign 1,2 and 3.

If you look at the last few pages of the manual they have a setup guide for different applications. It's spelled out there.

Care to post that diagram up? Doesnt make sense that they would send you an incorrect diagram.

The reason for the 1-3-4 output arrangement is cause thats how haltech did the E8/E11 hardware to work with the Wasted Spark (leading firing together) configuration.

Make sure that the diagram you haven isnt for an FC, not an FD, the FC's use the "toggle" option on the stock module hense, the different wiring and configuration in the software.
