E6X fuel pump priming.

When I start my car I usually turn the key to the ON position and I watch and listen to the gauges do their things while I also wait for the fuel pump to stop priming before I crank the car. Well, today I noticed my fuel pump stayed on. It did not shut off, so I checked the pressure gauge with key to ON(car off) and it was reading 50psi when it is set to 40 psi idle. YOu could hear the fuilds non stop moving as long as kept key to ON position.

I have the e6x fuel pump signal wires hooked up to a relay powered directly to the battery.

While car is running and idling it hold 40 psi. I drove it a bit and AFR's are normal.

ANy advice as to why my fuel pump control wire is not priming correctly?

Anyone? Could it be the fuel pump relay?

Probably not the relay. Disconnect the relay and out a test light across the solenoid trigger on the connector. If it stays on all the time like the fuel pump is doing, you either have a bad ECU output or the trigger from the ECU is shorted to ground somewhere. If that's the case, you can confirm it by disconnecting the ECU and check the terminal for continuity to ground.

Umm. Crap. Ain't nobody got time for that! :/
I'll double check the wiring and the relay.

Some people don't even use the haltech fuel pump wires, right? Worst case scenario I can just wires it direct to battery 12v with a relay, correct?

SO it fixed itself.... Went out there and tried it one time before i con't and it worked.

Must of been all the rain and moisture. It rained for about 3 days before i drove her. I have a leak somewhere behind firewall where rain water gets in. Thats right above my ecu.
