Just finished wiring everything, start the car, it runs and idles fine and smooth, then dies.

Fuel pump primes when turning key to on

Fuel pump runs when car is initially idling

But when i had someone crank the car for me while i listed i heard the pump run as it idled, then the pump turns off, the car dies a couple of seconds later.


I tried searching around but i'm stumped, I just bought a new long flying lead, new map new cts etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Replied to your thread on 502. Early Xs had an issue with the fuel pump control circuit where they would do exactly what you describe. The serial number indicates which ones had the issue.
