E6k owner's manual (Haltech website)

Whats up people? Im trying to print up the owner's manual off the haltech website but im running into a problem with the text format. Whenever the manual mentions key entries such as short cuts(example. ctrl-m), all that appears on my computer screen is (example. *****). Over the past year or so, I have tried several different computers but I get the same thing. Does anyone have a resolution?

i see the problem your having your pc is missing some fonts ..just need to find the right font its trying to display and your good to go.... if you try the E6X Manual Windows Version (1.5Mb) they use normal fonts and it works great you can see all the short cuts ..maybe this might be the same short cut that it shows for the e6k ... but i would call or email haltech and ask them if they could make maybe a windows version of E6K Manual ..

Ok, I found a thread last night but I do not have a link to it. There's a link in the thread to the website that has fonts that can be downloaded for free. http://www.newfonts.net/index.php?pa=show_font&id=111

I really dont understand how to do this. I am supposed to save the keystroke file to my computer under c:/windows/fonts, right. Well I did that and got nothing. After I save it, it doesnt appear anywhere in the fonts directory(along with all the other fonts). Maybe im doing this wrong?? I re-opened the manual page and it still will not display the keys.. wtf. Any ideas TeamSSR?

Nevermind, I got it. I just opened the keyboard file and minimized it; reopened the haltech file on the website and all keys appear.

glad to see you got it ... to add fonts to your pc you have to drop it in the folder through the control panel ...

Start---> Control Panel--->Fonts---> then copy and paste and the system will add it
