E6k no rpm, any ideas?
Ok i just finished installing a used e6k and harness in my S4 FC and im not getting any rpm readings. I have the trigger settings set like hitman's guide:
http://www.hitman.hm/installation.htm
After checking the CAS wiring by probing the connector at the ecu, i found out the harness was wired wrong by the previous owner. The red and white were backwards.. so i rewired the cas, this is how its wired now;
CAS - Haltech
red - yellow (main trigger)
green - green (home trigger)
white - red (input B)
black/white - blue (input A)
Ive tried every gain setting 0-7. Ive tried another cas i had laying around, spun it by hand, but the rpms still stay at zero. I have redline set to ignition cut, fuel injectors disabled.. i assume these do not have affect on the rpm readings? Do the coils have to be wired up to get rpms readings?
the red and green wires at the CAS pin out to pins 6 and 13 at the Haltech, which look to be correct according to hitman's site:
http://www.hitman.hm/e6kwiring.htm
the weird thing is that when i probed out the Input B and input A pins at the CAS connector, instead of going to pins 7 and 12, they both connected to pins 5, 26, 32, and 33 at the haltech which seem to be ground? is that normal?

Ive check the wiring like 10 times.. it has to be right. all the other sensors read fine. I know its not a bad switched ignition source either, b/c i can pump the tps and the reading changes while cranking
the only thing that seems off is the red and blue trigger leads pin out to GND instead of pins 7 and 12 at the haltech
