E11v2 + Autometer tach = ?

I have the 5" Autometer tach which has a shift light built-in. In my previous 13B setup the tach was driven off the negative coil in my distributor setup and worked fine. In my new setup, I am taking the tach wire which was previously connected to the negative coil and have it connected to PWM1. In the E11v2 I have it set to 2 pulses, 50% duty cycle with pullups off and normal output (have experimented with different combinations).

I cannot get the tach to read the RPM signal correctly - with the shift light tachs when you first power on the ignition the needle flicks to where you have the shift light set (ie. 7500rpm). When I crank the car the needle will rise from 7500rpm (as if its using 7500 as 0) instead of the needle resetting to 0 as it should.

Any ideas?

I have a problem with E11V2 and tacho out too. Is anybody here who can explain how to set up PWM out correct? How pull ups works? Do I need it for tacho out?
Thanks. I have a tacho out on my Autronic 500R but I need it for stock cosmo tacho.
