Dataloging EGT to E8

Has anyone setup an E8 to datalog EGT. I have an idea how to do this, but I'm wanting to know what others have done first. What I am thinking is configuring an input as a wideband 02 off of a 0-5 volt egt sensor to either datalot as something easily readable like .001 lambda per degree from 500 (.500 lambda) to 2000 (2.000 lambda) or converting to something easiliy readable with excel, or with a script.

Any input is desired.

You have the general idea. Most of the good useable EGT's have a module with an output for a datalogger with a 0-5v output. You can use any of the inputs and configure it. All you'll need to know is the temp vs voltage output of the EGT.
Haltech allready supports fuel pressure vs volts on an input for datalogging.

Thanks for the feedback, which sensor would you recomend for this?

It looks like the turbo XS or possibly AEM units may provide the required 0-5 volt output.

Also, the "expensive" version of the Autometer EGT gauge, the one that you buy the gauge with controller box and the thermocouple separate is also an option. The box has the the 0-5v output pin you can send to any of the Haltech's SpareA/D inputs.

I believe Autometer discontinued the versions with the external box. Most of the newer gauges including the fuel pressure gauge have an extra terminal with a 0-5v output to datalog with.
