Haltech Comparison: e11v2 vs Platinum Sport 2000
Comparison: e11v2 vs Platinum Sport 2000
So, now that some time has passed since the release of the platinum units, I am interested to get some feedback from users of both systems.
Basically, I'd like some honest assessments, backed with actual specific reasons if at all possible, of whether or not it is worth it to upgrade.
Is the expense justified in most peoples' opinions?
Thank you kindly.

IMO, if you car is running well and you aren't having any trouble with the E8/11 then there isn't much of a reason to spend the money to upgrade. The hardware is relatively unchanged and there isn't much in the way of completely new features. This from a guy that would love to sell you a new system.
That said the new systems are a joy compared to the older ones. The biggest thing is that everything works like it should. There have been a few bugs since the intro but they have been addressed quickly by Haltech and the latest firmware seems to be rock solid. The reluctor adapter feature is a little different and seems to work better. There are some neat fail-safe features that were introduced with the latest firmware update that are pretty nice and you can expect the systems to continue to improve as time goes on and more updates are released. The one thing I don't like about the Platinum is that you're a little limited with auxiliary input definitions.
