Changing from 3bar to 2bar map

I'm thinking about changing from my 3 bar to a 2 bar map sensor to gain some tuning resolution. Right now I'm running 9-10 psi and will not run more than 15psi in the future. I thinnk it will give me better tuneability in the vacuum ranges where I spend 95% of my driving. So my question is has anyone changed from a 3 to a 2 bar before?

not new but it has less than 3K miles in it.. I sold my haltech a friend but he never used the sensor. Instead he bought a 3 bar map sensor by choice. I might be able to buy it back from him.. let me know if you want to trade. The reason i need a map sensor (3bar) is because im going back haltech E6K and the one im getting does not include a map sensor.. please let me know..thanks..

Did you ever hit over 15psi with the 2bar installed?

i did it, you bacially have to retune the whole car because it just moves the load values around, on the graph.

it will give you more resolution, and you can prolly eek out a little more mpg and smoothness

After doing some research I've found 3 damn p/n's for this sensor.

16009886 I think this is the oldest
16040609 little newer ??
12569421 I was told this is the new # and the other two are old numbers.

What do you guys think?

Hey Setzep,
We buy them under the second part number you listed. We have them available for $45 shipped if you're interested.

Later,

Sorry guys, my mistake. I accidentally quoted the 1 bar sensor price. The 2 bar sensor sells for $55 shipped (in the continental US).
