Car starts quick but immediately dies
Hello!
I have an issue with my JDM 96 FD, I have just single turbo converted and installed a haltech elite 1500 with pnp adaptor harness. Today on the first start attempt it fired up instantly but died straight away. No amount of throttle helps it stay alive for longer than maybe 4 seconds, RPM increases if i use the throttle on startup and sounds right when it revs up, but dies just as quick.
Following things we have tried so far is:
Use starter fluid to see if it stays on for longer, did nothing worth mentioning except make more smoke out the exhaust.
Checked for vacuum leaks, nothing has been found.
Used a timing gun to inspect if the plugs get power.
Played with fuel, timing, disabling corrections and idle controller to see if anything changed, it did not.
Fuel pump primes and gets 320 kpa (46 psi) of pressure while priming and seems to stay up when the car runs briefly.
MAP line from intake to ECU checked and confirmed we are getting values to the ECU.
NSP oscilloscope checked for trigger wheel. Gets very good pulses nothing looks off about it and the ecu can read the RPM no problem.
Calibrated TPS.
That's what I can think of what we have tested so far with no results at all.
Car was driving to the garage couple months ago with same fuel system, ignition system, running the twin turbos and a Apexi Power FC.
It has IGN1A coils running in wasted spark configuration, Denso IRE01-31 sparkplugs, Raceonly fast acting air intake temp sensor, Supra fuel pump (got a Walbro GST520 that I haven't installed yet), stock primary injectors and 1680cc Bosch secondaries with correct impedance settings.
Current map is a slightly modified Haltech RX7 s7-s8 Single turbo Basemap.
Any suggestion or input would be greatly appreciated!
