car is hunting for idel (sometimes)

I had the the idel leaned out 2 months ago and everything was fine. well I have notice my car hunting for idel like its to lean or something. i rev on a little 3-4k, and it pops when I let off. i know this is a haltech froum but i am running haltech so i think it counts. How do i add fuel to my idel?? Do you think its nessecery to have a wideband, becuase I sure it hell dont have one. I tried to read over the manuel but its not any help at all. also, its the acrobat reader needed for the laptop???

Do this:

Connect your laptop and get into the fuel map, once the car is fully warmed up.
At idle press the Home key which show you exactly where you are on the fuel map, there will be a little red pointer probably bouncing around if your idle's hunting. it will stay in this mode until you exit the map. If you rev the engine you will see the maps go into the higher RPM ranges,(pretty cool feature).

Highlight the bar where the red pointer is and press the up arrow on your laptop. Do not use the page up as it will change the fuel too much. The idle setting is very touchy. Keep adding fuel until the hunting stops. Leave about 15 to 20 seconds between changes for them to increase the duty cycle of the primary injectors.

Hope this makes sense and helps

No, you do not need Acrobat Reader. E6K runs in MSDOS mode.
