A little piece of advise, when sending Haltech maps via email, ALWAYS zip them, sometimes they will get corrupted or attached wrong or assumed as viruses on the email programs and this will cause problems.
Another thing to watch out for is when you do get the map in its direct format (not zipped) when you "save as" make sure the file type field is set to "All Files" otherwise Windows sometimes assumes the file is a TXT file and will change the extension and this also causes problems.
And finally, another tip on map manipulation, map files DO NOT have file assosiation to the Haltech program, NEVER try double clicking the map file to load it, always open the program and load the file from there, also, ive seen people try to drag and drop the map file onto the program to open it, this doesnt work either, as well as people trying to open the map file from within the ZIP file if its in there.
The correct way to open a map file is by opening from withing the Haltech program which ever it may be.
