Talking Can someone tell me what the following is used for?

Hi all,

I want to get more in depth with the E6k program, but I'm lost with the following.

Injector phase map- "do I use this at all"?

Ingnition air map- " "

Ingnition cool map- " "

Ingnition crank map-" "

Full throttle map- " "

Primer map-" "

Rotary trailing map

I'm not sure if I should be adjusting and if so, what for?

Also I currently have in the Ingnition map, at idle the timming is set to "0". Is this correct?

Thanks for the help!!

Re: Can someone tell me what the following is used for?

We do not use this on rotaries.

Ingnition air map-

This is a compensation map based on intake air temp and adjusts the ignition.

Ingnition cool map-

This is a compensation map based on coolant temp and adjusts the ignition.

Ingnition crank map-

This advances the ingition during cranking. I believe since you are cranking at an RPM lower than what your car idles at you do not really need this map. Cranking timing should be around 20*, IIRC

Full throttle map-

I do not use this map either, this is another compensation map that it uses when the TPS is at a certain point it goes off of this. I do not know to many folks that use this. It just mainly adds fuel when you are WOT

Primer map-

It has been awhile, so I do not remember this map.

Rotary trailing map

This adjusts your trailing spark based on your leading spark. Everyone has different thoughts on this, the thing that you do not want is the trailing firing before the leading (which is almost impossible with the way the E6K is setup).

I'm not sure if I should be adjusting and if so, what for?

If you do not konw what it is, do not adjust it. Kind of a general rule in life too.

Also I currently have in the Ingnition map, at idle the timming is set to "0". Is this correct?

I usually have it around 5-7* at idle. This keeps a smooth idle compared to 0*

Just to make sure, that is from memory, I do not recall if the manual explains it.
