I bought a Haltech EK6 today for 400$ with harness and software cd. Its a working unit off a Rx7 the guy said. The Box itself looks Brand new. The harness looks shitty in my opinion from the guy who doesnt know how to make a harness correctly but has a bunch of sensors on it and a gm 3 bar map. Not sure if I want to run it.
Are these good ems's?
I thought it was a good deal so i figured if i dont use it I might just end up selling it for what i bought it for and let someone get the deal as im not familiar with Haltech

I'd say sell it. Can probably score about $600 for it. They're good ECUs but they're long in the tooth. Must run on DOS software and there is very limited support if it breaks. If you need a standalone, invest in the Sprint RE. It's comparable to the E6K in features and has a lot of upsides the E6K doesn't.
