Bosch 0280 130 026 Water Temp Sensor

This looks just like the stock FC unit. Anyone know if it gives a different reading than the GM sensor?

Hmm... there was somene, cant remember who, offering them on ebay they had the metric threads instead of the NPT ones. This looks like that one.

What we would need to find out is if their resistance/voltage ranges is the right one. But, i must admit that even though the size of the NPT GM/Haltech sensors is a little unconfortable to say the least, i can get them at a very good price with connectors, and i always have in stock.

I ordered mine from speedmachine after searching for a metric thread sensor. Then when it came in the mail today, it looked almost identical to the stock sensor.

I did find this for the voltage
http://www.wolfems.com.au//freestyle...130026 ETS.pdf
now I just need to find the GM one.

Well, you cant really see if the Wolf referenced sensor is the same as the bosch. I know AEM uses the GM one too.

i always just use the stock ect.

air temp and map, i use the haltech stuff, but the e8 is configurable, so 1/2 hour with a laser probe and i got it all calibrated to the stock coolant temp sensor. now all i have to do is transfer the calibration from one excu to the next and it's good to go. how often have you ever seen a coolant temp sensor go out? and even if they do, they're $25 anyway. i like not having to remove the water pump to tap it --ESPECIALLY when i'm doing in-car installs.

Git.J. I do the same.
For OEM CT sensor I use the Bosch 280 130 026 resistance characteristics – they are identical sensors.

For S4 IAT I use the following resistances
°C - R(kOhms)
-40 - 1 116,00
-20 - 325,90
0 - 109,40
20 - 41,39
50 - 11,61
70 - 5,52
85 - 3,32
100 - 2,06
125 - 1,00
127 - 0,94
130 - 0,88

Does this correspond to what you have measured?

Update!

Haltech is now selling the Bosch sensors with the metric thread, and their price is not that high, if anybody needs them please let me know and i will quote you on it.

i use the haltech (or gm) air temp sensor. the exposed element reacts faster.

No, this particular bosch sensor has the same output characteristics as the GM/Delphi/Haltech ones.

Delphi makes the sensors for GM that Haltech uses, but like i said in my previous post, Haltech is now selling the metric bosch sensors.
