Blocking off emission stuff, but still need to pass. What can I dump?

Things are starting to come together, and I need another piece of info.

1. Ill need to pass emissions with my s5 jspec, and my Haltech. Ive read that I can pass with the air pump mated to the split ait pipe on my cat.

2. Ive also read that the s5 has no EGR, yay for me.

3. As far as the ACV, I dont know if the Haltech can control it or not. I want to ditch it.

4. Also, the BAC. I know its used to adjust the idle, but what part does it play in an EMS? I assume none.

Can I lose that solenoid rack? My main question is, is there any stock emission crap I need to leave in tact that isnt computer controlled?

you can dump the entire solenoid rack. If you are running the airpump and a main cat you will need to keep the ACV. Im not quite sure how you are going to control it, but im sure its not too terribly difficult. I have no idle air control system in my setup, works fine for me. But you can use one of the outputs on the haltech to control the stock BAC valve. But you dont need to keep the BAC valve to make it idle properly.

I didnt think I would need the BAC, I wont have A/C, or PS anyway. Now just to figure out the ACV problem....

I also read that the FPR connects to a solenoid. I never remember seeing a vac line go to that...Oh well, it can just go to a nip on the UIM right?

Yep. The line for the FPR actually goes on the lower manifold. Its the vacuum nipple on the very bottom between the oil metering injectors. But you can use a different vacuum/boost source if you please. Thats just where the factory puts it.

I though it went on the nipple off the secondary injector off on the LIM. Only one of them has one. where does that go to. I would assume that some fuel would be in with the air mixture.

In theory, the LIM would be best, so as not to fiddle with the length of the tubing when installing the UIM.
