The best ignition option for my Haltech ps1000

I'm starting a race project and need some suggestions for full race application. I have a 13b-re Cosmo that will be in a Fd chassis. I'm looking to install a mechanical pump to run methanol. Unfortunately I can't use the full function engineering trigger wheel setup since the fuel pump bracket will be mounted in the same location. What is consider the best coils, amp, and cas. That would be recommended for a Haltech ecu. I'm looking to be near 740-800whp range.

Any input will be appreciated

Full race, 30+ psi boost setup running methanol will want an M&W CDI. Anything below that and the IGN-1A coils work well.

We've built some custom trigger wheels for these odd setups. FFE may actually have a wheel that works with your pump/pulley combination but would simply require an alternate mount for the sensor. The sensor can be mounted anywhere around the circumference of the wheel.

So a M&W Pro Drag Unit would do the trick what type of coils would work with that CDI box. I'll try emailing full function but is this something that lms could help me with.

Yes. The Pro Drag is really the only way to go any more. All the Pro Drag units now have selectable output. So they can be run on the street at low power and then turned up to HO for the strip either manually or automatically by your ECU. We use the IGN-CD coil with the M&W. It's the same as the MSD 8232. It's specifically wound for CDI with a low resistance winding.

We are an FFE dealer so we can get you anything they produce. Again, if you need something custom, we've had some wheels cut for us. They're not terribly expensive. I'm just a big, big believer in a crank trigger for high power applications. The thing to do is get your crank pulley and fuel pumo situation fully sorted and then we can go from there.

M&W Coils, Mercury Outboard, or Nology will all do what you need.

The M&W pro drag has a 12v battery supply. I'm going to be using a 16v battery since I won't be running an alternator. Will this be an issue?
