am i getting played? Elite 2500
a friend has an Elite 2500 in his FD and it is in the late stages of being tuned after a really nice build.
the tuner felt the motor just wasn't running right and initially thought it was an ignition problem. the power line on the dyno at zero smoothing looked like the teeth on a comb. typical ignition breakdown..
maybe too much spark plug gap, maybe weak coils etc. he checked all the possibilities and found nothing amiss.
the car has Bosch EV14 1350 CC injectors. 43.5 static fuel pressure, gas as base fuel.
after testing the 1350s for leaks etc he swapped in some EV14 750s and according to him the problem was solved.
i run the same 1350 CC injectors in my primaries and they idle around 1.4 ms and everything is fine. the problem (which was supposedly solved by the smaller injectors) was not just
at idle... and this problem disappeared.
so i asked the obvious question... how come my car runs fine w the 1350s and my friend's doesn't.
he said my ECU works better than the Haltech w the injectors. (Link G4X Extreme)
i would love to hear from any Elite 2500 owners running 1350 or thereabouts primary injectors...

Doesn’t sound right… somethings up!
I’m running ID 1700’s in my primary’s on my Elite 2500.
Idles smooth at 1050rpms @13.2 afrs, it’s also a stock port.
Also have a local buddy running the same primarys as me but on a Elite 1500 with no issues.

after further discussions w the tuner, it is more of a staging issue and after swapping in smaller primaries the motor runs well. sorry for the false alarm here.
