almost done! just a few more questions so I can drive this car.

Ok so far I have intalled this..
Injectors
MAF
TPS
CAS
Both relays
Fuse block.

I want to use the stock coolant sensor....everyone agree this will be ok???

I don't have an air temp sensor...is there one that I can buy to replace the stock one on the throttle body elbow??? If so how much and where to get it.

I was reading the HITman writeup. I see I only need 3 wires to take care of the coils, but what about the 3 left over wires (Ignition switched 12+ and Tach) do they remain unclipped? I'm not 100% sure on how this is done.

My O2 sensor is one wire, what do I do with the 2 left over wires on the haltech harness? I am guessing I do not need to use the GND and 13.8+ INJ just use the O2 wire??

OK last Q. I bought this setup used, is there any way to test my TPS since it rotates freely without much resistance I want to make sure it works fine.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Also what else do I need to hook up to get this going?
There are things I am not sure of like......
Road speed
Idle speed motor
I think I need to hook up one of my PWM outputs to the BAC...which I believe in the one mounted on the back of the Intake manifold right next to the firewall.

whew!!

First of all, i think you made a typo on the MAF, its a MAP sensor. Second, its not a good idea to use the stock temp sensor, since its voltage/resistance range isnt identical to the Haltech sensor and this causes a wrong reading in the software.

Third, if you dont have the Haltech sensors, just say so and me or anybody that has them can supply them to you. The road speed sensor needs a hall efect sensor, but i think that you might be able to connect it, but haltech says otherwise.

Idle speed is easy, just a PWM and set it to BAC. And finally the TPS you can use is the 2nd gen or 3rd gen, what vehicle is this one?

thanks for the reply. I do have the haltech coolant sensor, but I was under the impression it would not thread into the stock one's location. Everyone has mentioned that the readings are 10 degrees F off, how will this effect my car running right?

I thought I was right about the BAC using a PWM output...but on the wiring diagram from haltech, there is a seperate Idle speed motor output.

This is a track car so all I need is for the motor to run, I dont care about cruise or any other BS that isnt needed. I am guessing that is what the Road speed is for???

This is a S4 turbo 2 chassis. I have the Haltech TPS, so I wouldnt need to use a stock one, and I also thought they where not compatable.

Anyways my biggest concern at least for tomorrow working on the car is....is there a air temp sensor that will fit in the TB elbow to replace the stock one???

Thanks for the reply BTW

You have to use the haltech air temp sensor, you can retap the hole with the proper threads, its NPT 3/8". As for the coolant sensor it doesnt fit in the OEM hole, but you can find an adapter that fits in the OEM hole with the theads for the coolant sensor, but you need to drill it a little to make it fit.

With the TPS, if you want to use a stock RX-7 TPS you need the S5 throttle body, since the S4 TPS doesnt work, but the full range one on the S5 does.

There are coolant sensors that will fit into the factory hole using the same thread.
Give Rob at Force Fuel injection a call and ask for the GM metric water sensor.
Rob's contact # 305-235-6160 or http://www.force-efi.com/

You missunderstood me, the original s4 sensor doesnt work, you need either an S5 sensor or the haltech tps. I recommend you get a wideband O2 sensor, or if you cant afford it right now, shoot for a 3 or 4 wire sensor.

Get the Haltech temp sensors!

good, I have the haltech TPS so thats nice. I am getting the haltech coolant and air temp sensors.

I do have a wideband innovative setup that is in a seperate 02 bung on the downpipe.

So cant I just use the 1 wire I have now to wire to haltech and the innovative wideband to tune??? and if so how do I wire up the 1 wire 02 sensor to haltech?
