5 pin LSx coils??? wiring diagram?

Bought what are supposed to be a set of LS1 truck coils, they have a 5 pin plug instead of the usual 4pins... Does anyone know how to wire these up.

Those are the Mercury coils I'm always talking about. You will not be disappointed! Better coil that the LSx coils IMO. Here is the pinout, courtesy of 034 Motorsports. You want to start the charge time a lot lower than you would with an LSx coil. 3.0 mS should be enough for most applications.

Where did you find the coils?

Thank you! I spent so many hours looking for that!

I bought them through a local Haltech dealer, he has been helping me with some new parts on a my car and told me they were the LSx truck coils and was having a difficult time finding the right pinout for me.

other than the 3ms charge time will I need to change any other settings?

No. They work on a falling edge like the LSx coils. Pin B and C should be grounded to the rotor housing that corresponds to that coil. Pin A is the trigger from the Haltech. Pin E needs to be a switched 12V+.

Battery is best for the positive and negative. You just want to make sure you get full power to the coils. Chassis grounds and trying to source power from alternate sources can lead to lower power at the coils and then weak ignition.

Im working with the flying lead harness, Im assuming this will be fine for powering the coils. Easy enough to send a ground direct to the battery.
