16000rpm spikes without engine running

im haveing massive problems installing the e6K on my engine
the program reads 16000(almost constant, only fluxating alittle) wit nothing moving on the engine, needless to say this drives the ignition and injection crazy, flodding the engine instantly. it even does this with the cas disconnected.
when i turn the wheel on the cas, it does give an output, but it spikes to 16000 all the time, and lays there when i stop turning the cas. it cant be shielding can it? its the same if i take the caswire out of the engine compartment, its not close to any noice source, (that i can see
)

please advise
the cas is wired and the e6k setup after this http://www.k2rd.com/haltech/drawings/T01.pdf

if it does it with the CAS disconnected then its either the wiring or the ecu. i'd recommend disconnecting the CAS wires, from the ECU and see if it still happens. if yes, than you need an ECU, if no then you have a wiring problem

This will happen if your CAS wiring is unshielded, and this issue is covered extensively throughout this forum.

In fact, this thread is on the same page...

yeah. i know this, but the spikes are there at 0 gain on the sensor aswell as 9.
i just got in from pulling the caswires from the harness, moving it away from anything with power, still no difference, so i removed the wire, and the spikes are the same.'
but, when i went to ignition setup and changed from internal reluctor to hall effect, the spike went away, it reads zero now, what gives?

i would email haltech, the haltechs are designed to run a hall effect, and the older ecus needed an external box to run the VR style like the Rx7 has. with i think the E6S they added the 'internal reluctor' to the inside of the stock ECU, maybe yours is bad?
