your not that guy, im that guy that made a mess of the situation and everyone has every right to be upset with me.

working on the fan shroud issue so the car cools down quick when in traffic or done from spirited driving. On the go the kit cools fine.

It's understandable for the most part. Just getting the itch real bad.

I bought a vert shell and last Friday I got a motor swap to put in. It came with a real pos fmic that I won't ever put on so this kit will go on there. So far the motor is apart and needs a good cleaning before reassembly.

I feel you on the itch, Ive got the itch to finish everything. I even had to close my site because all the small orders and jobs were killing me.

Definitly never gonna do a GB on vm's again. What a mess this has been, Im really embarrased about it.

sneak peek.

There is a modification to the fan housing itself to make the shroud work in this configuration.

But heres the newest free addition "needed" to help cooling when in traffic or right after a track/auto cross event.

the shroud by itself cant get the air from the sides, but youll see the modification on the inside that will make it work. the fan needs to sit on the out side....but... luckily the fan has that wall around it that can be turned into a channel or vent.

anyways youll see when im done.

Thanks for the support.

thanks to eage8's feed back ive been able to fix issues that i did not know about that are critical on the FC. I have the FD vms down good, but I have never had a running FC so I was never able to test the kit. This is a huge mistake on my end, but I take responsibility for it and thats why Im changing things at my expense. I hate how long its been taking, it does not look good for me.

Words alone can not explain how greatful I am for everyone being so understanding.

Ben

p.s. yes im putting an engine in my FC so I can test the kit as well.

this is me in my rx8, this is the road i test my stuff on

heres the completed shroud set-up for the most part and you can see the modified fan frame so it can suck the air in the sides.

The shroud looks beautiful! Can't wait to rip the stock fan out of there. Between this kit and a new house with a nice big garage to play in... Can't wait!!

Thank you, I had to modify the shroud where the water pump pully is at. Its at a 45 degree angle there to clear the pully and the belt.

The 4 bolts hold the shroud on will change, it was for mock up

Sorry for the delay everyone, changing the oil cooler, added fan shroud, redoing the IC piping, added a ps cooler and changed the lower rad piping tom ending is what has been changed.

So even though the kits were delayed, there were reasons for it.. at my expense because I honor the original price and because its taking so long annnndd because III uhhhh didnt have a car to test the set-up, just had one to make it on.

So when you're making these, are you making 10+ of each piece for each kit, or one entire kit at a time?

Im making one kit at a time, yours is next.

Its impossible for me to make 10+ at a time due to the added cost of the upgrades.

The GB money went to buying all the original parts. Hood dampers and Bat kits are already done.

But just the added cost of upgrades for each kit is:

2 feet additional ss line = 20
shrink wrap = 7
45 degree -10 an = 25
material for new oil cooler location brackets = 15
misc wires/connections = 15
fan shroud = 25 (a pain to make)
power steering cooler set up= 75 (comes with the kit so you can resell a complete kit if you need to)

shipping of individual items to me probably around 30

so its like 187 to 200 x 10+ kits.... you get the point, add that to what I already lost between the fabricator changing his price, all the material I bought and used and wasted test fitting stuff, storage cost for all the parts since I live in an apartment without a garage, cost of having to get another car (blown motor but complete for mock up, first donor car was missing alot of stuff)...

sure one kit I can loose a few hundred dollars to get it out, but when **** hits the fan and the people you count on back out on you.... well you have to pick up the loose ends. so I found a new guy for the welding, I worked a bunch of overtime to save up to cover the additional cost and have been praying to GOD that I can keep you guys in the loop and understanding of how I had many un forseen issues that have plauged the time line of the GB. 1 big problem that was my fault, I didnt have a running FC to verify it on. The fix, aside from EAGE8 really wanting his kit badly, yes the same as all of you, I chose him because he has a very aggresive set-up and I needed a way to verify some things. This is what dictated all the changes. But HOPEFULLY the used motor I got is not blown and I'll be able to verify the shroud set-up and some other things when I take the set-up on some back roads we have out here. 2. the other problem was the people I had made arrangements with backed out on me price wise.

I have lost 1,000's but you know what I don't care, I really don't.

What I care about is that when you guys get the kits there will be no issues.

This is the reason for the delay and I appologize for the whole ordeal.

Ben

I got it, I still dont have everything set-up to continue working at the new place, maybe another week.

I need to clone me a few times so I can build these kits faster.

Ben,

How about an update? It's been a month since we last heard from you here. How long is it taking you to complete one kit? A week? A month? I think that you should atleast be transparent about that. It's been almost 2.5 years since you received roughly 25K from all of us. That's if my math is right 10 people at roughly $2500 a person give or take $250....

Thanks
