so yeah, that's how my move went. Ive been here 3 months and its been a game of chess with me and the crime here. So far I have been able to stay 1 step ahead. Each time something happens I put up another security measure. We have gun shots at least 3 times a month, oddly mostly on sundays.

I work night 11pm to 8am, wife home alone until Im back and then I work on business hobby that got to big for about 6 house. I try to get rest at least 3 hours a day and 1 more hour at work for lunch. On my days off I work all day on business stuff and I get 8 to 10 hours of sleep.

So as one question was asked how long does it take to make a kit, about 2 weeks start to finish. How long does it take to make the 20 kits backlogged , well it does not help when I jump between the kits as I try to make everyone happy. I just end up with a bunch of un-finished kits. I don't have anyone else to help, I took on too much work, I didn't calculate things properly so Im outta pocket.. yada yada yada I'm a freaking broken record player now and I'm pissed at myself for this situation too. But what can I say, first time business owner and thought I could just whip **** out, it's not that easy. Lucky now that I have a garage and a pop up tent its a lot easier for me to work in the rain.

anyways, I need to get working on some other things.

I cant say anything else but thank you for waiting as long as you guys have so far. I hope I get all this **** out before I really have a stroke or some ****.

Much love for the community, I will not give up on this, please don't give up on me.

Ben

so really

Alright, Ben, let's get this moving.

You told me this a week ago:
"p.s. Its just the shroud, that's all that's left to finalize."

That was a true statement for your kit. But I am working on many many things since I am the only one. I have to make time for everyone and that takes time away from everything. I dont have anyone else to help me and I plan to finish the shroud this weekend. Believe it or not I had some FD orders that I had to fill that were taken even before this group buy.

Believe me, I want to get everyone their stuff asap (without cutting corners and half-assing things) because I would also like to move on with my own life.

so, just to say, I have 4 more FD vm kits and 13 more FC vm kits to make. I have to juggle this situation so that I keep everyone happy. Yes its my problem and not anyone elses but I'm doing my best. So atleast your kit is almost done, then its copy copy copy from there.

Awesome April fools joke SOL. That's fucked up about your neighborhood Ben, I'd never want to live there. I'm paranoid about where I live but that would just drive me mad! I couldn't imagine ever owning anything nice because some **** would mess with my ****. Anyways, back to day dreaming about cooler air temps for my 7..

still working on it

I have to make it work for the next 13 kits so it has to be solid, its nothing I can half *** and im re-adjusting stuff so that there wont be any clearance issues.

its not picture ready yet too so im getting more material this Friday and im going to make a one piece shroud instead of the pieced together one for test fitment.

I had to make it all work with the new oil cooler lines going to the new location, new rad piping since the oil cooler is in the front and some additional brackets so its not just the shroud im dealing with.

from eag8's finding I basically re-did all the **** in that area to fix the issues, it was my mistake so I cover cost, sooo that's why its taking some time because I have to find a way to make it all work and still be somewhat affordable since its coming out of my pocket. Already im at around 190 a kit.... so already 2k in redesign... theres really a lot behind it all.

sorry for the delay

and I learned two big lessons

don't design something on a non-running car, you wont see all the issues
don't do a GB on a new product

well I made my bed im sleeping in it

but when you and everyone else gets their kits all issues will be fixed

I will have to resell your kit to get your money back but on my site I state the are no refunds on special order items. I am not out of business, I am not claiming bankruptcy and yes I have alot of things I am working on and one of them is your kit. And yes, my *** is way in gear. There were alot of mishaps and I took responsibility for it all. Dont worry, your getting your kit very soon, very very soon.

I did eat about 400 on everyones kit between the redesign and free shipping.

Thanks, Ben

I didn't even do that to you, I took the ****, stressed over it and damn near had a efin heart attack.

do you know what its like to work until your vision goes blurry, until you can feel your veins pulsing in your neck

do you have insomnia over this ****, I do

I work all day and night and have sacrificed my life for the past 2 years.

speedoflife heres your kit, I redesigned the frame to make the radiator shroud fit, I took the hood scoop to verify clearences

your kit is 90% done

only I have to send your brackets out for powder coating and polish everything

if you don't want it tell me now and I will resell it and give you your balance, I have many people who would LOVE to buy a kit ready to ship with the exception of re-coloring the brackets and different hoses ill have to buy.

so what do you want, do you want your kit or do you want your money

1. your gonna have to wait for the powder coating and polishing
2. your gonna have to wait for your money until I resell your kit.

ok thank you, sorry for sounding off earlier. yes everything is my fault but please understand that I did take full responsibility for it and I even gave the additional turbo to IC side which was not part of the original deal.

I really do not want to give you a half *** product and I really want you to get your moneys worth.

So while you were waiting for just the fan shroud to be done, I actually had to redo the whole damn kit.

There are no more fitment issues.

You will not have to do any mods on your end to make anything better unless you want a more powerful fan but then that will need a stronger alternator. The fan I use works the best for the current it draws and it should not affect the electrical system.

Thank you again for working with me on this.

I really do care about getting you your product, a good product.

Ben

Your website is currently telling me it is Malware. I was wondering if you will still be selling these kits 6 months from now. I am about to deploy.

speedoflife

your new brackets have been made for the new kit, they are going out for powder coating this weekend with some other kits

im modifying your rad to mount the shroud better since I have more room to do it correctly

i'll make your new oil lines, what color do you want the rubber shrink tubing to protect the ss braided lines, I have white, black and red.

once those are made they get pressure tested.

redoing the brackets allowed me to do everything with better fitment and makes things easier to build faster

So it seems Speed of Life's kit will be done in the coming week or two. Does this bode well for the rest of us? Think you'll have a time frame now that fitment issues are worked out? I'm sure everyone who is left would love to get more detailed info if it is possible.

Yes it does.

I don't have to cram everything together with mm of clearance. There is a lot more flexibility and with the oil cooler in the front there are less brackets involved in the frame which means a lot less things that need to be lined up.

But the extra material to make all the new brackets and additional an fittings and ss line is happily taken at a loss in my pocket to provide a better kit.

But it wont be a week or two for speed of lifes kit.

Speed of life:

I am finishing up the side shields and verifying all your new brackets that I made. The picture I showed you was the prototype hacked brackets that are painted red.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the fabricator to weld some brackets on your rad to fit the fan shroud.

Also today I am making your oil cooler lines and will have them pressure testing which takes a couple of days.

But once everything is test fitted your brackets go out for powder coating, a couple days for this.

Finally I polish everything, 3 days for this.

So a week no, two weeks yes.

But the new fitment is a lot easier to duplicate.

Im going to make 2 to 3 kits at a time until there all done.

If I make anymore then that it will take longer.

But that's it.

As I am building everyone's kits I'll email/pm each of you for any last minute changes on anything and also ask the color of the protective sleeve for the oil cooler ss lines.
