Widefoot Sway-bar mounts
Update
Internet Brands was able to reach David. He has had some issues occur and caused this project to slide well past its due date. Here is what he has proposed:
"Would you be able to help me by posting a notice stating that people can contact me directly at my "widefoot@comcast.net" address and let them know that they can either receive a full refund for whatever was already paid plus 20%, or hold on for another three months and get the parts plus a 33% reduction on the original cost? For refunds, I can pay on request."
I would ask that those buyers that are waiting please post in this thread to keep it active. I, for one, am waiting for the mounts and bronze bushings and I hope David can still deliver.

caredden, have you been able to reach David via his widefoot email address? Several posters in the group buy were not receiving responses from that address as recently as last month.
Two years and a stack of broken commitments since this thread was started. Can't believe I'm considering anything but trying to get a refund.

I too was unsuccessful in reaching David at his widefoot.comcast address. I reached out to IB for assistance and they were able to reach David. As a mod, I have been exchanging messages with IB.
I can definitely understand your frustration and skepticism. I am in the same boat as you. I am not sure why, but I want to give David the benefit of the doubt, as he has come through in the past...albeit quite awhile ago.
I think a lot of this frustration could have been suppressed if David would have just communicated in this thread.
Respectfully,
Charlie

The guy was an asset to the RX-7 community for a long time which is a big part of why this group buy has been such a let down. Couldn't agree more on the communication.
Thanks for trying to push this thing along.

I agree. I do not mind waiting as long as I know what is going on. Sometimes life happens and it gets the best of us. And the money is not an issue in this case.
My understanding is that he's working on getting his shop and equipment back in order so that he can get all the mounts done. He hopes to be able to provide an update on the forums soon.
David's been a member of the rotary community from the "big list" days, and while I'm sure people are frustrated with the lack of info, I'm quite hopeful that everything will work out in the end.

He gave me the same spiel about getting the mounts done when we spoke on the phone almost one year ago. There hasn't been any communication or visible action taken since that point so it's tough to believe anything is different. I mean, you have to give people something to hang on to if you expect to smooth things over at some point.
Fly-by-night companies in the world of aftermarket parts and service are a dime a dozen. Being from the era of the big list with an established history is exactly why I expect more.

Has anyone received their mounts? I believe he was sending out just the base mounts at one point, but was stuck on the bronze bushing adapters. Can anyone clarify?

Davin, that is correct. He told me he was having trouble (way back when) finding a vendor for the bushing material. He told me he could send the mounts now and then bushing adapters when they were done. I as well as some other I believe opted to go that route. Luckily we did. =X

I did receive my mounts and was told that when the bronze bushings were finished he would let me know
Seemed like a really nice guy that was down on his luck
I understand that life happens. I do hope that he comes through.
