TNT Fuel Starve Eliminator for FD
The TNT ( tank-in-tank) fuel starve ELIMINATOR supersedes our "BIGFOOT" design. The "BIGFOOT" worked fine but was difficult to construct with precision and did not meet cost objectives.
The TNT design is based on our proven autoX car custom unit that has worked flawlessly for two years. We regularly run our tank down to 1-2 gallons (start with 5 gallons).
TNT features:
1. Totally reversible...no mods to your current setup.
2. Easy install through OEM tank opening.
3. "ALWAYS" keeps 2 liters of fuel at the pickup.
4. Adaptable to any known pump(s) setup.
5. Guaranteed to eliminate fuel starve or you may return for full refund.
Price projection:
1. Base Model (pic#1)
Includes all needed hardware,lines,check valve and sock. Designed for out-of-tank fuel pump setups that we believe is the optimum for easy pump maintenance.
2. Custom Model (pics #2-3)
Includes custom line fittings for your in-tank pump(s).
If the interest is there HPP will make.

After review this new updated/revisioned "Big foot". It might probably one of the best in-tank mods.
It'll be perfect if this can be used in conjunction WITH the CJ Motorsports dual pump assembly.
Any thoughts about that? It'll be awesome if it works with that kit. I'd personally rather have this than the hyperion fuel surge tank covers.

Completely trivial question, but will this help with consistency/accuracy of the gas gauge at all? It's annoying when you go out on track with close to 1/2 tank and after a few turns it reads almost empty from the slosh.
Either way, I'd be in for an in-tank pump version.

Here's the evolution of the TNT design in the quest for a bullet proof FD fuel starve eliminator for really high g autoX and track use. .
1. We started with the stock tank and the purchased plastic tray ( baffle) cover hoping to reduce fuel load by 50 lbs...run with 1/4 tank. FAIL...still had to run 3/4 tank to prevent fuel starve.
2. Next we modified our stock tank to a half tank and retained the tray cover. FAIL..still had to run at 3/4 tank to prevent starve. Did achieve a significant weight reduction but we were still concerned about fuel starve on long high g sweepers.
3. We built a custom 5 gallon tank with a center baffle, used the stock pump assembly bulkhead and mounted our Bosch 044 outside the tank ( under the black plastic DS dust cover which puts it a bit below the tank ). To our amazement we still had fuel starve under 3/4 tank.
4. Finally we designed a 2 liter collector tank fed from the return line and a check valve hoping to keep 2 liters of fuel always available to the pickup. It worked. We start with 5 gallons and regularly run the tank down to 1-2 gallons. See pics.
The TNT is the same design adapted to the stock FD tank.

Eric ....we see no reason why the TNT cannot work with the CJM twin pump. Will require a custom mounting bracket (will get get some dimensions from CJM for this) and custom return and pump lines/fittings...no big deal.

1.The TNT does receive all the return line fuel but the all important "refill" is supplied by the check valve. The check valve used is a very responsive ball valve that is actuated by TNT vs main tank pressure differentials.

My gauge and sender are working fine, but what happens out on track is that with the fuel sloshing back and forth the gauge is innacurate when you get near or below 1/2 tank. After a couple of laps the sender is bobbing up and down and with the delay to the gauge will read lower than it actually is in my experience. I won't be able to get the proper fuel level until I've stopped and let the gauge catch up (there seems to be a delay in the signal, probably designed this way). What that means is that it's really tough for me to see how much fuel I actually have in the tank WHILE out on track.
I've had a couple of times where I came in early because the gauge read completely empty, but then after I stopped and let things settle I actually have more than a 1/4 tank.
You should consider getting an aftermarket gauge and tap the signal coming from the factory sender, this way you can have a real even a digital readout and check those on the straights!

interested in this. I run dual supra pumps. I only drag race and have to run 10+ gallons to solve the starvation on hard launches.
How long to pruduce? Was getting ready to sump the tank and go external.

Glad to hear from a drag racer. We don't know enough about drag application needs but we do know that the TNT works for Pro Solo launches....we launch with the tree and run flat out well into 2nd gear then turn left or right and autoX from that point on....no fuel starve. Will pm you to discuss specific drag racer needs.

TNT fitment checks are progressing well. Have to verify that all the pieces/parts will install through that little hole on the top of the stock tank. Should have pics next week.
