I think you'd need to uninstall the exhaust anyway, unless you've got some way to get wrenches/screwdrivers up over the exhaust while it's installed on the car—it's pretty tight. More hassle probably than unbolting two flange bolts and pulling the thing off. Besides, you're hopefully only doing it every 2-3 years or something at most.

I'm kind of wondering how relevant a repackable catback is. I get the midpipe because how close it is to the turbo, but really over time it will pick up a few decibels like a magna flow would but that's it right? I guess if it's strictly a track car.. but I can't imagine needing to repack a catback before it rusts away completely lol
