Got mine in yesterday. Nice looking, quality product. They do cover up the sill decals so I am thinking about the best way to install them without damaging the sill decals. How strong do you think the 3M tape is that comes on the back of the hand steps? Can I get away with using it and then peeling off the hand steps without damaging the decals?

VIN stickers are a BEAST from my experience - I actually removed mine during repaint and it basically had to be sanded off. I highly doubt this would peel it up if removed.
Very easy installation. I used the 3M adhesive backing provided by Garage Alpha and stuck the hand steps over the VIN stickers on the door sills. They are easily removable as I had to reposition them a few times - no damage at all to the VIN stickers as the VIN stickers are much more sturdy than the 3M adhesive backing.
Pretty Coll looking - I am sure I gained 5 WHP by doing this.
I broke down and ordered a set too. I really like the neoprene type material it's made out of. I was worried how it would fare in the sill and if it'd catch at all on the door, but I think it'll be good. Mine will also overlap the vin sticker, but I think I'm just going to keep the cover on the 3M tape for that portion and use the bottom portion to attach. yes it'd potentially "flap", but I'm not sure that'll be an issue.
I received my set, and also encountered the issue with the safety label and the information label (passenger side). I was on the fence about installing over the stickers but this discussion helps. I think I will either leave the backing on the step where it overlaps the stickers, or apply a coat of wax on just the sticker to limit adhesion. There will still be tape attachment area above the stickers and to the sides so it should still be firm to the sill.
I should add, very nicely made and also very nicely packaged.
